We are an established industry-academic group who have been meeting for the last 8 years looking to accelerate better planning and communication in construction. We are made up of a variety of businesses, universities and regulatory bodies. Initially, we met regularly to discuss the use of 4D planning tools as a way to better communicate and plan construction projects, and ran workshops on various related topics. Over the years, our group has evolved to expand beyond this initial niche and we find ourselves discussing better ways of using technology in construction with 4D being the catalyst in bringing Project Teams together to realise improvements in Design, Procurement, Planning and Delivery of projects. Also, just to make the whole experience more enjoyable and rewarding for all!
We had never thought of doing a podcast before, but with the outbreak of COVID-19 and not being able to hold our usual events, we decided to start a podcast instead to continue the message.
Every large or complex construction project should be using 4D models or Model Based Planning to plan and monitor the work. We’re here to accelerate this.
